I am all about my clients getting the most bang for their buck. This session was booked for family photos as well as a headshot for the dad and a headshot for the daughter. This was a little ambitious, but we happened to knock out all of the photos in under an hour and a half. One lesson that I’m slowly learning is that family photography doesn’t have to be complicated. We just found a spot that they liked and looked nice and did all of the photos right there. Normally, I would be sweating trying to run the family around to different locations so they got a lot of variety, which is absolutely ok, but only if the family specifically asked for that. It is important to make sure you talk to your client before the photoshoot in order to fully understand their vision.
Enjoy some of my favorite shots from my most recent family photo-session at the Hilton Hawaii Lagoon in Waikiki.
All shots were taken with a Canon 5D Mark IV and edited in Adobe Lightroom and Adobe Photoshop using Mastin Fuji Presets.
